Ambode Vs Agbaje: who would your vote go for as Lagos State governor?

The die is cast between Akinwunmi Ambode and Jimi Agbaje

On Mid-day Teaser today, we want to know who would your vote go for between Akinwunmi Ambode and Jimi Agbaje in the Lagos State gubernatorial election.

Apparently, both contestants are ready to slug it out tomorrow, April 11, 2015, as they have been vigorous in their campaigns.

PDP accuses APC for making plans to rig Lagos polls

PDP's Jimi Agbaje and APC's Akinwunmi Ambode are contending for the Governorship of Lagos State

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of plotting to rig the governorship and House of Assembly elections in Lagos State.
The PDP also said that the APC is planning to unleash violence if its governorship candidate, Akinwunmi Ambode loses the election.

The allegations were made on Thursday, April 9, 2015 by the Lagos PDP Publicity Secretary, Taofik Gani.
Gani said that the APC was planning to use some persons who would impersonate National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members, security agents and Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) personnel to rig the elections.
“These persons will wear the uniforms of youth corps members, various security agents and be present as official INEC electoral officers. The APC has concluded plans to deploy these impersonators to identified polling units where the official INEC officers, security agents and corps members will be compromised to concede their functions,” Gani alleged.
The governorship and State House of Assembly elections are slated to hold across Nigeria on Saturday, April 11, 2015.

HOW AND WHERE TO SECURE A LOAN WITHOUT COLLATERAL FOR YOUR BUSINESS IN 3 DAYS, MATURITY PERIOD UP TO 1 YEAR, YOU CAN ACCESS OVER N1M GUARANTEE!

Thank you for your interest to access the information about the trendy loan facility in town. If you have gone to borrow money from either the bank, an individual, organisation or any financial institution you would notice that even N1,000 is so much money. Because you may get stock in the middle.

More than 70% of  Nigerians are living below poverty level. The former CBN governor, Charles Chukwuma Soludo once said that to cross poverty level in Nigeria you must have or worth N5 million. That is about $25,000+. This means you must have up to N5 million and above for you to be rated a rich or wealthy Nigerian. I wonder how many Nigerians that are in this category.

In the past, banks and financial institutions have failed Nigerians in the area of loan and capital for running business. Some of them claim to be offering loan to small and medium scale entrepreneurs and private individuals. But they end up playing on the intelligence of their customers. After running the account and maintaining your relationship with the bank for centuries by the time you apply for loan they ask you to bring your whole community all in the  name of collateral.

Now come to think of it

A financial institution with World Bank and other international partners has come to alleviate the problem of poverty in Nigeria and improve businesses and living standard of the masses. These are the partners; International Financial Corporation (World Bank Group), African Development Bank, Access Microfinance Holding AG in Berlin, Germany and Impulse Microfinance Investment Fund N.V. of Belgium.

These are expert in micro credit and banking services for small and medium size businesses. They have available funds for you to support and grow your business. Foreign experts in the field are managing the bank. Currently they are across African and Asian continents in such countries like Tanzania, Madagascar, Azerbaijan, Liberia and of course Nigeria with their branches expanding. You may ask me the following question:

Man beats wife to stupor for over-celebrating election result

Man beating his wife

The presidential and National Assembly elections held on Saturday, March 28, 2015, resulted to be a disaster for the family of Raphael Abiodun, a commercial motorcyclist popularly known as Okada rider, after he  allegedly beat his wife, Bose, to a stupor for over-celebrating the outcome of a result in their local government.

News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), reports that Abiodun was bitter when the results in their Igangu area of Omu-Aran in Irepodun local government area of Kwara State, came out in favour of candidates his wife supported in the House of Representatives and Senatorial elections and she purportedly celebrated a bit too much.
The action of the wife was said to have got her husband off-head and couldn't control it, he descended on her and beat her so bad that he got her injured on several spots.
It took the intervention of neighbours and some commercial motorcyclists in the area to salvage the situation from degenerating further.
According to an eyewitness, Abiodun accused his wife of not being sympathetic with him on the negative outcome of the elections for his party.

Fellow Nigerians,
I thank you all for turning out en-masse for the March 28 General Elections. I promised the country free and fair elections. I have kept my word. I have also expanded the space for Nigerians to participate in the democratic process. That is one legacy I will like to see endure.
Although some people have expressed mixed feelings about the results announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), I urge those who may feel aggrieved to follow due process based on our constitution and our electoral laws, in seeking redress.
As I have always affirmed, nobody’s ambition is worth the blood of any Nigerian. The unity, stability and progress of our dear country is more important than anything else.
I congratulate all Nigerians for successfully going through the process of the March 28th General Elections with the commendable enthusiasm and commitment that was demonstrated nationwide.
I also commend the Security Services for their role in ensuring that the elections were mostly peaceful and violence-free.
To my colleagues in the PDP, I thank you for your support. Today, the PDP should be celebrating rather than mourning. We have established a legacy of democratic freedom, transparency, economic growth and free and fair elections.
For the past 16 years, we have steered the country away from ethnic and regional politics. We created a Pan-Nigerian political party and brought home to our people the realities of economic development and social transformation.
Through patriotism and diligence, we have built the biggest and most patriotic party in Nigerian history. We must stand together as a party and look to the future with renewed optimism.
I thank all Nigerians once again for the great opportunity I was given to lead this country and assure you that I will continue to do my best at the helm of national affairs until the end of my tenure.
I have conveyed my personal best wishes to General Muhammadu Buhari.
May God Almighty continue to bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
I thank you all.
Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, GCFR

Federal Republic of Nigeria
