I’m prepared to die fighting corruption – EFCC boss, Magu says




Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, says he is prepared to die as he fights corruption in Nigeria. Magu said this while speaking to ‎a group of Senior Lawyers led by Femi Falana, who paid him a solidarity visit at the agency's headquarters in Abuja yesterday February 18th. “I am not afraid of anything. I prefer to die fighting corruption if need be,” Magu said

Drinking more coffee may reverse liver damage from booze



Drinking more coffee might help lower the kind of liver damage that’s linked with excessive intake of food and alcohol, a review of existing studies suggests.
Researchers analysed data from nine previously published studies with a total of over 430,000 participants and discovered that drinking two additional cups of coffee a day was linked to a 44 percent lower risk of developing liver cirrhosis.
“Cirrhosis is potentially fatal and there is no cure as such,” said lead study author Dr. Oliver Kennedy of Southampton University in the UK.
“Therefore, it is significant that the risk of developing cirrhosis may be reduced by consumption of coffee, a cheap, ubiquitous and well-tolerated beverage,” Kennedy added by email.

Nollywood youngster Olamide David has died, throwing Nollywood into another mournful mood.

The young Nollywood actor who played the lead role in Foluke Daramola-Salako’s movie, Cobweb was said to have died few hours ago in Lagos.
